Kendall

The first photo Kendall took

of Connor on set in 2019!

some say it started in a grocery store.

some say it started on set.

others say it started on hinge…

they’re all correct.

But if we back it up even further, their origin story was at chapman university’s dodge college of film and media arts, where both kendall and connor were pursuing bfa’s in film production. connor was two years above kendall, but despite sharing the same circle of friends, somehow, their paths never crossed (at least they’re pretty sure that’s the case).

Fast forward to 2019. Kendall enlisted her good friend and Director of Photography, Nico (aka connor’s groomsman), to shoot a commercial, which brings us to the infamous grocery store scene. Nico, in turn, brought along his go-to First AC, Connor. There, kendall was cracking her best egg puns, trying to get the notoriously focused Connor to break. But the yolk was on kendall—timing just wasn’t right.

Then came 2020—yes, that year. Stranded back home in the Midwest, kendall almost called it quits on dating apps. But as fate would have it, just as she was about to delete Hinge, Connor’s smiling face popped up. What followed were several FaceTime dates — from connor in sunny palm springs on one end to kendall’s basement on the other.

an unimportant detail: connor totally called kendall out for stifling yawns,

but it wasn’t for the lack of enthralling conversation, rather the time difference.

When Kendall finally returned to LA—strictly for a job, she swears—they went on their first in-person date. Social distancing was still all the rage, so they opted for a rooftop setup with charcuterie and wine, because all the parks were closed. And the rest, as they say, is history.

In the years since, they've built a life packed with adventures from Chicago to Cabo and beyond. They've spelunked through Icelandic glacier caves, flown drones around LA, sampled every slice of pizza the city has to offer (current fav: Quarter Sheets in Echo Park!), and thrown murder mystery parties that are award-winning (awarded by the hosts). They've snowboarded, built LEGO masterpieces, carved pumpkins, mini-golfed, and cooked their way through countless evenings.

The proposal:

On a seemingly normal trip to visit Connor’s parents in Palm Springs, Connor surprised Kendall with a detour to Joshua Tree. He planned a cozy stay at an Airbnb and waited until the very end of the evening to pop the question under the stars and the mesmerizing Supermoon.

Make it stand out.

It all begins with an idea. Maybe you want to launch a business. Maybe you want to turn a hobby into something more. Or maybe you have a creative project to share with the world. Whatever it is, the way you tell your story online can make all the difference.

Don’t worry about sounding professional. Sounds like you. There are over 1.5 billion websites out there, but your story is what’s going to separate this one from the rest.
